About Me

Welcome to Little Lovey Doves!

Thank you so much for stopping by! My name is Cait, and I'm a wife and stay-at-home mom to two great little girls, Ashlin and Katie, otherwise known as my little lovey doves. I love sharing the projects I create, recipes with which I feed my family, and any tips that I've acquired while being a busy mom to two small, crazy, noisy, wonderful children.

I was born and raised in Northern California, but had the itch to get away (but not too far away!), and so attended college in Oregon and Eastern Washington. It was at Washington State University in a packed history class where I met my wonderful husband. Little did I know that the wild-eyed boy I used to run around town with would take me all over the West in the first few years we were married.

In our nearly four years of marriage we've lived in Alaska, Washington, and now California; basically, we went where ever his career as an engineer sent us.

It's been exciting, to say the least.

About a year and a half after our wedding day we had our first little girl, Ashlin Rose. Shortly after, and just a few days shy of our third wedding anniversary came little Kathleen Marie. They are the joys of my life; two tiny little women who I'd do just about anything for. I can't begin to express how lucky I feel to be able to be at home with them, to wipe every runny little nose and to kiss every fussy tear away.

Before I had my girls, I worked as a middle and high school teacher in South Central Alaska. Though it was only for a  short while, it proved to me that there is no greater career than teaching, whether it's a full classroom of eager teenagers or little ones learning their ABCs. Someday I hope to return to teaching in some form or another, but right now I'm really just enjoying every little minute of where I am.

While reading Little Lovey Doves, I hope you'll be inspired to perhaps make a special recipe for your family, find a tutorial for an easy craft project, or just take the time to enjoy a funny anecdote or two.

Have a wonderful day and thanks again for stopping by!

Cait
